Are you a dynamic, highly skilled educator looking to make a transformative impact? We are offering an exciting, newly created opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join our team as a Specialist Classroom Teacher with attached fixed-term SENCO responsibilities.
As part of a cutting-edge new initiative, you will lead the implementation of a hybrid learning model, bridging the gap between mainstream classrooms and a dedicated specialist teaching space. Because of the vital SENCO component, this position brings you directly onto our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), giving you a key voice in shaping school-wide inclusive education policy and strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Specialist teaching and ORS: Deliver tailored instruction for ORS and High and Complex Needs (HCN) students.
- IEPs and collaboration: Partner with staff and whānau to design and monitor IEPs.
- SENCO and SLT leadership: Join the Senior Leadership Team to lead inclusive education and SENCO services.
- Hybrid learning model: Facilitate transitions between home room classrooms and specialist spaces.
- Whānau bridge: Connect families, staff, and external support agencies effectively.
