We are looking for compassionate, adaptable and team-focused Registered Veterinary Nurses to join our bank team at Granta Veterinary Specialists. This role offers flexible shifts across days, nights and weekends, helping to support our wards, theatre and inpatient care teams during periods of increased demand, holiday cover and operational need. About the Role
As a Bank Veterinary Nurse, you will play an important role in supporting patient care across the hospital. Depending on your experience and the shift requirements, duties may include:
- Monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
- Supporting theatre and diagnostic procedures
- Administering medications and treatments
- Providing high standards of inpatient nursing care
- Supporting emergency and critical care patients
- Communicating effectively with the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Contributing to a positive, respectful and collaborative team culture
Shifts may include:
- Weekday day shifts
- Night shifts
- Bank holiday cover
Whilst this is a zero hours position designed to offer flexibility, we are able to guarantee a minimum of 18 shifts per year.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
- Are confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Remain calm and compassionate in busy clinical environments
- Are adaptable and willing to support different areas of the hospital as needed
- Have a strong commitment to patient care and team wellbeing
- Previous referral or ECC experience would be advantageous, although not essential.
