Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled veterinary nurse to join our procedures team but also assist in our wards 2 days a week. This role focuses heavily on patient care and clinical procedures, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our inpatients. You will play a key role in monitoring, medicating, and assisting with various procedures, working closely with our vets and fellow nurses.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing attentive nursing care to inpatients, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting with ward-based procedures such as blood sampling, intravenous catheter placement, wound management, and diagnostic support.
- Supporting veterinarians during clinical procedures including MRI, CT, U/S, medicine procedures and small surgical procedures.
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the ward area and throughout the practice.
Requirements
- Qualified and registered veterinary nurse (RVN) with experience (preferred).
- Strong clinical and patient care skills, with experience in ward-based work.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for animal care and welfare.
