Granta Veterinary Specialists are recruiting a colleague to join our client care and front of house team. We are looking for a friendly, organised, and compassionate person to join our team on a part-time basis (32 hours per week). You will work Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

This is a predominantly client-facing role, combining front-of-house duties with structured administrative responsibilities. You will be the welcoming face and voice of our specialist referral hospital, supporting clients, referring practices, and the clinical team through excellent communication and accurate admin support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming clients and their pets in person and acting as the first point of contact
  • Answering incoming phone calls from clients and referring practices
  • Taking payments over the phone accurately and professionally
  • Booking and managing referral appointments
  • Collecting and entering client and patient data
  • Responding to email enquiries and sending required documentation
  • Explaining processes, fees, insurance information, and next steps to clients
  • Liaising with the clinical team to ensure referral cases run smoothly
  • Supporting general administrative and office tasks

About you:

  • Friendly, professional, and confident when dealing with clients
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling payments and sensitive information
  • Computer literate and confident using practice management systems

Veterinary or medical experience is not essential. We would welcome applications from those with experience in hospitality or customer service. Full training will be provided.
