Grant Westfield Limited, the company behind the UK’s leading bathroom wall panel brand Multipanel, has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales team in Wales (Area 7) across postcodes LL, CH, SY, SA, LD, HR, CF and NP. Managing the sales in this area, you will develop business with an existing client base, ensuring focus is on those customer outlets that are delivering or can deliver higher levels of sales. Additionally, you will be responsible for building and maintaining key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and closing business deals whilst maintaining extensive knowledge of our current market conditions.
Responsibilities
- New Business Development
- Develop new customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify key contacts, and the decision makers within the customer organisation.
- Research and build relationships with existing clients.
- Participate in pricing solutions/service.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
- Client Retention
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
- Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
- Business Development Planning
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Management and Research
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Forecast and meet sales targets.
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet your targets.
The successful candidate’s profile
- Experience in a field sales role is essential.
- Full UK driving license.
- Experience of working within the manufacturing sector and knowledge of our product would be advantageous.
