Edinburgh Grant Westfield, the company behind the UK’s best-selling brand of waterproof wall panels, Multipanel and Naturepanel, is looking for FLT Operators to join their team in the heart of Edinburgh, to undertake a variety of loading and unloading tasks in support of the overall production and dispatch operation, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations.

Day Shift - Mon-Thurs: 08:00 – 16:30. Friday: 08:00 – 15:30. ROP - £13.90 per hour. This is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities:
  • To undertake a variety of tasks in support of the overall production and dispatch operation, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Operating a FLT to move stock around.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, storage racking and process equipment.
  • Picking and packing finished goods and raw materials.
  • Carrying out product quality inspections.
  • Checking stock for damaged or missing items.
  • Maintaining an accurate record of stock and carrying out stock counts, as required.
  • Finishing products to a consistently high standard.
  • Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality tests.
  • Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency.
The successful candidate’s profile:
  • Skills and experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Desirable Qualifications: A Counterbalance forklift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment. We can provide onsite refreshers or training as required.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well as part of a team. Friendly, approachable and cooperative.
  • Flexibility: Responds effectively to changing circumstances. Adjusts tasks and priorities when required.
  • Customer service: Good understanding of customer deliverables and the need for strong quality. Ability to work to essential quality standards.
  • Organisation: Ability to plan and organise work. Ability to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision.
  • Health & safety: Understanding of health and safety requirements.
