Grant Thornton’s Agile Talent Community is a network of contract professionals, giving you the opportunity to work with our clients alongside Grant Thornton teams on a project-by-project basis whilst being supported by our dedicated Agile Talent team.
Our Energy Transition & Sustainability team is part of Grant Thornton UK’s Net Zero practice. The team works across sectors to support clients to deliver financial and commercial solutions to Net Zero. As an experienced Interim Waste, you will provide financial and commercial advice across the waste and environmental services sector, supporting clients to design, procure and deliver value for money waste solutions aligned with Net Zero objectives.
You will shape, design and deliver value-for-money waste solutions aligned with Net Zero ambitions, supporting public and private sector clients through complex commercial, procurement and contractual challenges. We need someone who actively develops commercial deliverables and payment mechanisms, rather than someone who purely reviews work produced by others.
Skills we are looking for:
- Waste project experience working on multiple projects in the UK within public or private sector.
- Strong commercial and/or financial advisory background with ability to produce deliverables.
- Proven experience developing payment mechanisms.
- Experience working with local authorities, waste operators or public procurement processes supporting procurements, commercial cases or contract structures.
- Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
