Overview
As Corporate Tax Director for Media, you will lead a portfolio of complex tax engagements for TV, film and video games clients, combining deep Creative Industry Tax Relief expertise with broad corporate tax know-how.
You’ll be the primary client contact, shape tax strategy in deals and restructurings, and mentor a growing media tax team.
This role offers autonomy to build client relationships, contribute to thought leadership, and advance the firm’s media tax offering within a national network.

Responsibilities
- Portfolio leadership for corporate tax compliance and provision with emphasis on Creative Industry Tax Relief claims
- Lead audit of tax engagements for media clients and review technical positions
- Advise on tax structuring, international expansion and migration of operations/rights
- Support transactions, including sell-side advisory and tax diligence for media deals
- Manage and develop a team of tax professionals and drive technical training
- Oversee portfolio financials: billing, recoveries, and WIP management
- Ensure risk management in engagements and alignment with firm policy
- Develop business via networking in media sector and cross-selling opportunities
- Represent the firm at events and contribute to media tax thought leadership
- Collaborate across the firm to strengthen cross-practice opportunities
- Key requirements
- Fully tax qualified (CTA/ACA or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in corporate tax
- Strong technical knowledge of Creative Industry Tax Reliefs (TV, film, video games)
- Experience advising on tax structuring and international expansion/migration
- Experience leading complex compliance and advisory engagements (including audit of tax)
- Experience supporting transactions, including sell-side advisory and tax diligence
- Familiarity with Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) rules a plus
- Proven people management and development abilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to advise senior stakeholders
- Existing relationships or credibility in the media and entertainment sector an advantage
