Overview

In this role, you will lead and shape financial modelling and analytics for large-scale infrastructure and public policy projects. You will work within Grant Thornton’s Consulting team to build, review, and automate complex models and data insights for public and private sector clients. You’ll drive quality modelling techniques and create dashboards that support informed decision-making. You’ll collaborate with sector teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to winning bids while developing the team’s capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Design, build or review high-quality financial and data models for clients
  • Develop a range of models (integrated financial, cash flow, options, pricing, acquisition, risk)
  • Create data-driven processes and dashboards to improve client efficiency and insights
  • Help define and implement the Financial Modelling and Analytics strategy within the team
  • Support partners and directors in leading complex projects and client relationships
  • Contribute to business development and winning proposals
  • Manage quality and risk in modelling work according to firm policies
  • Coach and train teams to uphold a quality culture and provide feedback

Key requirements

  • Demonstrable financial modelling experience leading on transactions in relevant sectors
  • Experience with spreadsheet-based models in Excel and/or data analytics tools (Power BI, Python, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau)
  • Commitment to structured modelling techniques and clear communication
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts to clients and colleagues
