In Public Services Advisory, we have worked on some of the UK's largest and most high profile public sector clients, infrastructure projects and public policy programmes. As an Assistant Manager within Public Sector Consulting, you will:

  • Help us to make a difference to our public sector clients supporting them to deliver modern public services that are sustainable, people-centred, data-driven and digitally enabled.
  • Be part of an exciting client engagement team supporting across our sectors and capabilities developing analytical skills, insights and consulting expertise with each engagement.
  • Develop sector and technical knowledge and apply this in the context of real and complex client scenarios.
  • Be pivotal in the delivery of engagements with unparalleled insight into our clients’ challenges.
  • Actively listen to others and ask searching questions that challenge thinking beyond immediate concerns.
  • Identify, suggest and drive practice development initiatives.
  • Take personal responsibility and pride towards high quality of assigned deliverables.
  • Contribute to positive morale, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial culture within the team.
  • Build a strong network of contacts, both within the firm and across the public sector.

Joining us as an Assistant Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • A professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA).
  • Extensive experience of using Microsoft Office applications, in particular PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

It would be great if you have some of the following skills:

  • Ability to use a framework and methodology-driven approach to identify a root cause.
  • Understanding of and interest in working in the public sector.
  • Ability to carry out robust analysis and interpret the outcomes.
  • Ability to provide commercial and strategic thinking to propose new solutions to clients.
