In this Associate Director role, you will advise a diverse private capital client base on tax matters, blending compliance and advisory work. You’ll lead client engagements and mentor junior colleagues, shaping solutions that balance tax efficiency with commercial outcomes. You’ll engage with the market to grow the practice and promote cross-team collaboration across GT’s tax network. Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of tax issues across compliance and advisory projects
- Lead client meetings and provide clear, confident responses to queries
- Deliver high-quality tax advice on time, building trust with clients
- Take the lead in delivering client work and coordinating with wider Tax teams
- Develop and support junior team members, aligned with their career goals
- Provide intelligent tax solutions and proactively cross-sell broader GT services
- Lead pitches and proposals to grow the business and showcase capabilities
Key requirements
- Professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of entrepreneurial business clients
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and international concepts
- Experience reviewing work and supervising others in a tax environment
- Experience in a professional services setting and managing a large client portfolio
- Business development experience and willingness to deepen knowledge of firm services
