We are seeking a Corporate Tax Associate Director to join our growing Tax department. As an Associate Director, you must demonstrate depth of technical knowledge in your own service area and apply this knowledge to develop solutions to complex technical issues, while managing a team in demanding assignments. Main responsibilities:

  • Takes responsibility and ownership of the client relationship at the appropriate level in the client’s organisation;
  • Manages a portfolio of client assignments that are sizable in scope and scale by providing creative solutions to tax issues, both reactively and proactively, including presenting solutions to complex technical issues;
  • Has experience working with large UK corporates, including multinational groups, with a sound understanding of relevant tax issues such as corporate interest restriction, corporate loss reform, and SAO queries;
  • Proactively seeks out business development opportunities and meets financial targets;
  • Participates in tendering for new clients, including developing tailored proposals;
  • Acts as the focal point for delivering sophisticated tax advice, analyzing data, identifying business issues, and applying technical knowledge appropriately;
  • Provides technical consultation and supports risk management;
  • Produces high-quality, professionally presented tax reports;
  • Adheres to the firm's risk management processes;
  • Manages the financial aspects of client accounts;
  • Leads, motivates, and coaches team members, providing regular feedback and appraisals;
  • Manages own career development by seeking diverse assignments;
  • Participates in business development activities and contributes to sales pitches for the firm and team.

Skills and attributes:

  • ACA/ACCA or CTA qualified;
  • Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience in a large practice, ideally Big 6;
  • Strong technical knowledge and client opportunity identification skills;
  • Approachable and proactive team member who cares about team performance and wellbeing;
  • Capable of working independently with responsibility and ownership;
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
