Role
Personal Tax Executive – Private Assurance Tax, Milton Keynes/Liverpool or Manchester
Our Private Assurance Team works with a huge variety of high-net-worth individuals, ensuring their compliance obligations are met. We build relationships with clients, talking to them about all aspects of their financial affairs, getting involved in advisory assignments where relevant.
We refine processes within the team and take advantage of the newest technology to support how we interact with our clients. We’re happy to talk flexible working and consider reduced hours and job shares to balance your work and life.
A look into the role
As a Tax Executive within our Private Assurance team:
- You’ll be working on more complex tax assignments and projects, taking ownership of your own portfolio of clients, with support from the Manager.
- You’ll be given a degree of autonomy in the delivery of your work but we will always be available to support you where necessary.
- You’ll be preparing tax returns and computations for Manager review in conjunction with agreed timescales.
- You’ll interact directly with your clients, developing an effective relationship as a trusted adviser and giving excellent client service.
- You’ll take responsibility for driving the tax return process for your clients, working proactively to manage your portfolio and prioritising day-to-day tasks.
- This role is key to the operation of our private tax function, so we’ll make sure you’re given opportunities to learn and develop to maintain the required high standards.
- You’ll be a proactive and valued member of a specialist team and will have the opportunity to develop an internal network within the tax department, the wider tax practice and sector group.
Knowing you’re right for us
Minimum criteria: experience in UK Personal Tax, A-Levels or equivalent, good grades in Maths and English GCSE, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but we’ll help you develop along the way.
- CTA (or working towards) or ATT qualified.
- Self-motivated and driven
- Highly organised with an ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations
