Job Description
Ready to launch your future? Ignite is your chance to step inside the world of accountancy and experience Grant Thornton like never before. Over four action‑packed days, you’ll dive into real projects, connect with our people, and get a true feel for what a future in accountancy could be.
Igrate (Ignite) is designed for Year 12 and 13 students (as of September 2026) who are keen to learn more about accountancy and business. Stand out during the programme, and you could fast‑track onto one of our sought‑after school leaver programmes, securing your future before you even leave school!
We particularly encourage applications from students who are genuinely interested in starting their career through a school leaver programme after completing their studies. If you’re excited by the idea of beginning your professional journey straight from school – and want real responsibility, learning and development – this experience is designed with you in mind.
Dates: Monday 17 – Thursday 20 August 2026
Location: Oxford Office – in‑person (please ensure the office you apply to is within a reasonable commuting distance)
Is this programme right for you? Before applying, consider whether a school leaver programme aligns with your long‑term goals. Ignite is for students who are interested in transitioning into a career in accountancy after school. You do not need any prior work experience. We are looking for enthusiastic, curious individuals who are eager to learn and have a keen interest in business.
Please note, this is an in‑person work experience and full attendance is required to successfully complete the programme. You must be available for the full duration of the programme and also consider whether the office you are applying to is within a reasonable commuting distance from your home.
