What You’ll Do
As a Technology Consulting Assistant Manager, you’ll support high‑impact projects across multiple sectors, working with senior consultants and directors to shape client outcomes. You’ll bring structure, insight and commercial thinking to complex technology challenges, while continuing to develop as a specialist and consultant. You’ll play a key role in delivering technology consulting engagements, working alongside senior colleagues to provide analysis, structure and insight across a range of client projects.
- Technology Strategy & Operating Model Support
- Analyse technology estates and operating model elements to surface risks, constraints and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to target‑state options, principles and portfolio‑level roadmaps.
- Support workshops, interviews and requirements sessions; capture insights and help shape next steps.
- Translate and present findings and insights clearly and confidently, helping the team shape recommendations and next steps.
- Business Systems Strategy & Digital Transformation
- Support System strategy engagements; including requirements gathering, vendor evaluations, scoring and recommendation development.
- Contribute to market scans, shortlists and platform/partner evaluations (RFI/RFP, demos, references); prepare structured comparisons and reasoned recommendations.
- Help build pragmatic transformation plans and sequencing; support mobilisation activities (RAID inputs, planning artefacts, stakeholder documentation).
- Work with SMEs to shape integration, data and reporting needs with a clear line of sight to business outcomes.
- M&A Technology Advisory (PE & Corporate)
- Contribute to technology due diligence, supporting assessments of risks, scalability, cost drivers and value‑creation opportunities.
- Support development of separation and integration plans, mapping dependencies and documenting practical Day‑1 and transition considerations.
- Produce clear, structured analysis and reporting in fast‑paced deal environments.
- Project Support & Collaboration
- Work closely with senior consultants and Engagement Managers to plan work, manage tasks and maintain quality.
- Coordinate with wider project teams to maintain smooth delivery, clarity of communication and consistent quality.
- Build positive working relationships across the practice, collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines to bring integrated solutions to clients.
- Contribute to proposals, research, credentials and methodologies that support practice development and growth.
- Participate actively in practice initiatives, knowledge-sharing sessions and internal communities, helping to strengthen our collective capability.
- Build relationships with client stakeholders and represent the firm professionally.

A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
