You will work autonomously within the Private Assurance team, managing a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients and handling their personal tax compliance. Your work will involve preparing returns, conducting technical research, engaging directly with clients and HMRC, and driving the tax return process to meet deadlines. You will also contribute to a collaborative culture, network across service lines, and receive structured learning and coaching to accelerate your development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver work with a degree of autonomy, taking initiative and applying judgment while receiving dedicated support.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and oversee the tax return process for your account.
  • Prepare tax returns and computations for manager review.
  • Conduct well‑supported technical research using legislation, tax guidance, HMRC manuals and firm resources to generate an opinion.
  • Engage directly with clients and HMRC, building relationships based on trust, accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Provide clear, timely communication and act as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day tax matters.
  • Proactively manage deadlines, organise and prioritise day‑to‑day tasks, and handle work‑in‑progress management and recoveries on assignments.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration and become a valued, proactive member of the specialised team.
  • Develop strong internal relationships by networking within the tax service line and other service lines, sharing knowledge and insights to enhance overall service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Personal Tax.
  • A‑Levels or equivalent.
  • Good grades in Maths and English GCSE.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • ATT qualification (or working towards).
  • Self‑motivated and driven.
  • Highly organised with an ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations.
