Overview Alternatively, Grant Thornton At Grant Thornton we do things differently - looking to the future, driving ambitious growth and pioneering positive change in our industry.

Providing audit, tax and advisory services, we empower clients through strategic insight, curiosity, and genuine partnership.

And we empower our people with real opportunity, an inclusive culture and work life balance.

A true alternative.

With over 5,000 people in the UK, and a presence in 150 global markets, we’re on an ambitious journey, from great to exceptional, and we need the best people to help us achieve our potential.

And with that comes the opportunity to help redefine what our industry looks like, and what you want from your career.

Job Description You’ll lead audit engagements across a portfolio of private capital clients, acting as the senior relationship holder and ensuring the quality and commercial performance of the work.

For complex assignments, you’ll either lead directly or work closely alongside a partner, bringing broader business insight to the engagement.

Business development is a genuine part of this role.

You’ll build and maintain a network that generates fee‑winning opportunities, both within your area and for the wider firm.

You’ll also play a key role in shaping our market strategy in the region, identifying where we can grow existing services, develop new ones, and maximise our position in the private capital space.

On the people side, you’ll invest meaningfully in your team: setting clear objectives, coaching people at every level, identifying development opportunities, and building the next generation of directors and partners.

Resourcing starts with our internal talent pool.

Commercially, you’ll own the financial performance of your client base.

That means understanding profitability, managing working capital within firm targets, controlling overhead costs, and hitting agreed fee growth targets.

Benefits The things you do, and the people you’re with outside of work matter, that’s why we’re happy to look at flexible working options for all our roles, and we’ll always do our best to keep your work and life in balance.

Whether that’s working reduced contracted hours, working your hours over a shorter period or utilising our ‘how we work’ framework. #J-18808-Ljbffr
