Grant Thornton UK LLP is hiring Engineers and Senior Engineers in the North of England. The role is a hands-on individual contributor in the CAS practice, focusing on the GenAI platform and related backend, API, and data integration work.
Responsibilities
- As a Senior Engineer, own end-to-end delivery, translating business needs into technical design and solutions at pace.
- As an Engineer, deliver production-grade solutions under technical direction, maintain quality, raise blockers early, and build depth.
- Apply AI-native engineering, using platform tools, AI tooling, and making judgment on when to solve natively or build bespoke solutions.
- Design architecture, integrations, and data flow within the platform.
Qualifications
- Senior Engineer: track record of end-to-end delivery, shipped production software, depth in backend and integration engineering using Python or C# .Net, and judgment on native vs bespoke engineering.
- Engineer: demonstrable experience building and shipping software, solid foundation in at least one backend language, understanding of APIs and version control, and ownership mindset.
Desired skills (not mandatory): familiarity with Azure and Microsoft 365, LLM integration patterns and MCP tooling, AI-enabled or agentic development environments, comfort using GenAI tools such as Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT.
