As the Paralegal Executive within the OGC Commercial Contracting team, you will:

  • Be a key contact for the Firm’s service lines in respect of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs);
  • Review, draft, amend and negotiate a range of legal documents such as NDAs, hold harmless letters, release and reliance letters;
  • Work with the wider OGC team to provide an efficient and high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Assist our client-facing teams in overcoming legal challenges and to advise and guide our client-facing teams in relation to the Firm’s policies and processes;
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries or briefing notes on specific topics as required;
  • Assist with the development and administration of legal technology and AI platforms;
  • Support in the management and development of other junior Paralegals in the team;
  • Support other team members and, in time, take supervisory and management responsibility for NDAs.

The minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • Law degree or equivalent qualification, or Paralegal/Legal Assistant qualification. Completion of the LPC or SQE1 is desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal at a top law firm and/or in-house corporate level legal department.
  • Demonstrable experience of reviewing and negotiating legal documents (in particular NDAs) and liaising with clients to resolve legal and commercial issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), document management systems, DocuSign and contract databases.
  • Comfortable working independently on routine matters while collaborating closely with legal counsel on more complex issues.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and excellent attention to detail and take pride in consistently delivering a high-quality output.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with all members of our diverse team and the wider firm.
