Grant Thornton is building a new digital team as part of the firm’s £500m multi‑year investment to transform how we work and deliver for clients. This investment is focused on redesigning our operating model around the way clients make decisions, using data, digital tools, and streamlined processes to remove friction, reduce duplication and provide faster, clearer insights. The new digital team will play a critical role in shaping and embedding these changes across the firm, developing tools, platforms, and digital capabilities that accelerate decision‑making, improve the client experience, and empower our people to work smarter. Working at the heart of a major firm‑wide transformation, this team will help modernise core processes, support innovation, and ensure we deliver a more efficient, tech‑enabled, and future‑focused service for our clients.

As a Business Analyst within our team practice, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders through interviews, workshops, surveys and other appropriate methods to identify and comprehensively document business requirements and populate product backlogs.
- Analyse and prioritise requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Validate requirements with business stakeholders and the feasibility of requirements with technical specialists.
- Take a first principles approach to process and technology improvement and recommend solutions that support strategic value drivers (value creation, operational efficiency, modern ways of working, business protection).
- Collaborate with the development team to implement process changes and monitor their impact.
- Continuously seek ways to optimise business processes and systems.
- Work closely with the appropriate technical, development, product, design and project colleagues to ensure solutions are designed to successfully meet business needs and deliver their anticipated outcomes and value.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements based on testing results and through monitoring of operational use and impact.
Minimum criteria:
- Proven experience as a technology focused Business Analyst using industry standard techniques to determine and document process improvements, business and technical requirements.
- Evidence improving processes and capturing requirements from first principles.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and frameworks, and technology implementation projects.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira or similar tools.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way:
- Technology or developer background, including exposure to technologies such as: Microsoft M365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Azure, Workday, GenAI.
- Appropriate professional certification.
- Understanding of professional services and/or partnership structured organisations.
