Role Overview
Assistant Manager within our Indirect Tax team.
Responsibilities
- Join a friendly, diverse team with a leading presence in Indirect Tax and VAT.
- Support the scoping, delivery, and billing of client work.
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s risk‑management processes from initial take‑on to completion of assignments.
- Guide junior staff in researching and producing work that meets the firm’s commitment to quality.
- Support Directors and Partners in project delivery.
- Provide technical advice on a range of Indirect Tax matters, backing decisions with legislation, case law, and technical analysis.
- Produce technical work that requires minimal review and conveys key points to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience of UK Indirect/VAT Taxes, ideally from an advisory or in‑house environment.
- Relevant tax qualification (e.g., CTA or ATT).
- Experience working with a large and varied portfolio of UK indirect/VAT tax clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to forge long‑standing business relationships.
- Comfortable working as part of a mixed‑discipline team, taking the lead and driving projects to completion.
- Experience advising on complex technical indirect tax matters (beneficial).
