The predicted salary is between 63000 - 77000 £ per year.
You will join our growing Private Capital Corporate Tax team and facilitate the continued growth of the tax practice in and across the central belt with a particular focus on the mid-market and OMBs. We can offer outstanding opportunities to develop and grow the portfolio of business, establish strong relationships with clients and across the firm, and contribute to domestic and cross-border tax assignments. The team helps clients to navigate the increasingly complex tax and sector landscape by providing tailored solutions to manage risks today and stay ahead of future changes.
As an Assistant Manager within our Private Capital Corporate Tax team you will:
- Manage a portfolio of clients consisting of owner-managed businesses, private equity backed and large groups, supporting them on their corporation tax affairs.
- Work on tax advisory projects including project financing and transactions.
- Supervise/review work prepared by junior members of the team, reporting directly to Partners and Directors.
- Deliver corporate tax compliance services, audit of tax and tax advisory for our clients.
- Oversee and manage your own portfolio of clients, liaising with Audit colleagues where necessary, becoming the main point of contact for clients in your portfolio.
- Coach and develop junior members of staff, proactively seek out new business development opportunities and participate in pitch/proposal sessions.
- Organise the delivery of tax work and problem solving on a daily basis.
- Build your internal and external network, enhancing your communication skills and collaboration with others.
You will be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements.

Joining us as an Assistant Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is to be qualified (ACA, ATT, CTA) with experience of working in a corporate tax position. - Be flexible in order to juggle client commitments and meet deadlines.
- Evidence of managing corporation tax compliance portfolios and tax accounting/audit of tax.
- Experience in reviewing work and supervising staff in a tax environment.
- Excellent communication skills in supporting the team grow and deliver on key client accounts.
- Strong, up to date, knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and international tax concepts.
