A true alternative.With over 5,000 people in the UK, and a presence in 150 global markets, we're on an ambitious journey, from great to exceptional, and we need the best people to help us achieve our potential.Job DescriptionTakes overall responsibility for planning, executing and completing audit engagements, acting as the primary point of contact for the client on day to day mattersApplies detailed technical knowledge of ISAs, UK GAAP and/or IFRS, and the firm's audit methodology, and is a point of reference for the team on technical queriesIdentifies and evaluates complex audit risks, designs the audit strategy and ensures the approach is proportionate and defensible under reviewManages engagement budgets, timelines and profitability, escalating overruns and agreeing scope changes with the client as they ariseLeads, coaches and develops a team of Assistant Managers and Associates, delegating effectively and reviewing their work to a high standardBuilds and maintains strong client relationships, being seen by the client as a trusted advisor rather than just an auditorIdentifies and helps convert cross service line opportunities, contributing to the growth of the wider practiceReviews financial statements and ensures compliance with relevant legislation and disclosure requirementsConsults appropriately with Engagement Leaders and specialists, including Valuations and National Assurance Services, on judgemental or high risk areasContributes to proposals and business development activity as requiredAdheres to the firm's risk management policies, including whistleblowing and quality reporting processes, and consults with colleagues on any concernsMaintains ongoing professional development and completes mandatory training relevant to the roleActs with integrity and in line with our organisational valuesWhat we are looking forACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with post qualification experience gained within an audit environment.
