The Debt & Capital Advisory team is an integral part of Grant Thornton business, providing independent advice and execution to private and listed companies, and private equity sponsors and real estate sponsors across the range of debt, equity and capital markets. The team operates across the national footprint and consists of a range of experienced members that will support your growth within the firm.
Your role within this exciting and growing team will be that of a core team member supporting all aspects of the client experience, from business development, pitching and winning work, to working on all aspects of the end‑to‑end financing process and assisting clients in achieving their funding objectives.
As a Manager, you will:
- Work on a broad range of debt & capital advisory projects and have regular interaction with private equity sponsors, companies, banks, advisors and other service lines within Grant Thornton.
- Build strong relationships with clients, lenders, and investors, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Prepare project materials, and client and lender communication.
- Undertake financial modelling, including analysis of business forecasts, evaluation of scenarios, comparison of proposed debt terms and structures, and covenant calculations.
- Be responsible for driving the day‑to‑day project management and driving it through to execution.
- Support senior leadership in identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and contributing to deal origination.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and fostering a collaborative culture.
Joining us as a Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is to have:
- Experience gained within a professional services environment, a relevant advisory firm, or a lender.
- Proven experience of managing client engagements and strong relationship‑management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box – we’ll help you develop along the way:
- Leveraged finance background is helpful, but not a requirement.
- 2:1 degree (or equivalent).
