This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to further their career and gain experience working in a fast moving team. We are seeking to expand our IT Service Desk and are looking to recruit a Desktop Support Specialist within our Belfast office. This will be a 12 month Fixed Term contract. If you are looking to get exposure in a large organization, have a valued opinion and work within a supportive team then this role is for you.

The role:

  • Providing 1st / 2nd level Helpdesk Support both onsite / remotely
  • Monitor Service Desk Queue
  • Installation, Configuration and Support of PCs, running Windows 11
  • Troubleshooting both hardware / software / network connectivity issues on PCs/Printers
  • Management of Assets
  • Determine proper escalation path for non-resolved issues.
  • Participate in and contribute to a dynamic IT team

Skills & Attributes:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in deskside support in a corporate IT environment
  • Degree / Technical certification in IT or related field
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11 / Office 365 / MS Teams
  • PC / Laptop hardware configuration and troubleshooting
  • Mobile Devices / Mobile OS
  • AD / TCP/IP Network knowledge
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and be a self-starter
  • Proven planning and organisational skills
  • Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • The willingness and ability to work co-operatively with others as part of a team
  • Frequent travel to our regional offices for onsite visits
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
