We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to be part of our Consulting practice. The role offers the opportunity to support complex client engagements by shaping business requirements, translating business and regulatory objectives into practical delivery plans, and helping clients move from analysis through to implementation. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Financial Services, particularly retail banking, who can work across business, operations, technology, risk and programme teams to drive practical, customer-focused change.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to successfully deliver and manage projects across a range of key areas, including:
    • Business Analysis
    • Managing the delivery of complex projects for key clients across various industries, ensuring high-quality outputs and successfully meeting tight deadlines.
    • Defining, planning and supporting delivery across all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring business requirements, implementation plans and outcomes remain aligned.
    • Requirements elicitation and documentation: running workshops and stakeholder interviews, producing clear, structured and comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
    • Translating business, operational and regulatory requirements into clear implementation plans, delivery activities, business outcomes and measurable benefits.
    • Working with programme managers, PMOs and business stakeholders to convert requirements into actionable work packages, plans, dependencies and milestones.
    • Business case development: quantifying benefits, return on investment, cost savings and efficiency impacts.
    • Process mapping and redesign: documenting as-is and to-be processes, identifying gaps, controls, hand-offs and implementation considerations.
    • Strong capability in conducting business impact assessments and producing and maintaining a requirements traceability matrix.
    • Identifying business impacts, risks, assumptions and dependencies, and supporting mitigation planning throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Supporting business readiness activities including operating model changes, process implementation, communications, training and transition planning.
    • Experience analysing and improving end-to-end customer journeys, operational processes and controls across retail banking products including mortgages, personal lending, deposits and credit cards.
    • Collaborate across cross-functional teams spanning business, operations, technology, risk, compliance and customer-facing functions.
    • Supporting senior management in overseeing and executing project delivery, including action tracking, decision support, dependency management and business readiness.

Business Development:

  • Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders, programme teams and delivery functions to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Facilitating workshops to define project scope, business requirements, delivery activity and success measures, ensuring outcomes are documented and shared with relevant stakeholders.
  • Engaging stakeholders across multiple disciplines to drive project momentum, resolve issues, challenge constructively and support timely decision-making.
  • Supporting and driving Business Development initiatives including the preparation of proposals and tenders for new client opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

  • A third level degree, with a strong academic record.
  • Business Analysis certification, with a demonstrated ability to apply best practices, tools and methodologies (e.g., IIBA Certification, BCS Business Analysis Certification, Certified Business Analysis Professional, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience depending on the level being applied for.
  • Experience working across business and technology teams to translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Familiarity with Central Bank of Ireland Regulatory Landscape including the Consumer Protection Code.
  • Experience supporting regulatory, compliance, customer remediation or operational change programmes within financial services would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, challenge constructively and drive consensus across multiple business functions.
  • Experience supporting operating model, process transformation or business change initiatives from design through to implementation.
  • Strong understanding of retail banking products, customer journeys and operational processes, including mortgages, personal lending, deposits and credit cards.
  • Demonstrated ability to support governance forums, ensure alignment on scope, risks and decisions, and communicate outputs clearly to drive accountability.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a commitment to professional and client service excellence and developing effective working relationships.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
