Grant Thornton’s Agile Talent Community is a network of contract professionals, giving you the opportunity to work with our clients alongside Grant Thornton teams on a project-by-project basis whilst being supported by our dedicated Agile Talent team. You can choose to work with Grant Thornton as an Independent Consultant either through your own limited company or on inside IR35 terms.

Joining us in Financial Services Advisory, we provide the advice necessary to help clients manage risk, realise opportunities and improve their business performance. Our partner-led teams include former financial directors, chief operating officers, corporate development directors, and chief actuaries. We are client-focused, advising both financial services organisations and a wide variety of secondary market businesses. We leverage our comprehensive experience to provide a complete and holistic service to our clients.

Joining the Agile Talent Community as an Actuarial Risk Manager, you will have the freedom to work on projects that you choose, whether full or part-time within Financial Services Advisory and support our clients and internal teams on short to medium-term assignments.

Skills we are looking for:

  • Lead actuarial workstreams across risk, capital and reserving projects for multiple clients.
  • Deliver robust second‑line challenge and independent viewpoints on actuarial assumptions and modelling decisions.
  • Produce high‑quality reporting for senior leadership, Boards, Risk Committees and regulators.
  • Coordinate model validation activities and support model improvements.
  • Identify control gaps and recommend pragmatic enhancements.
  • Build trusted relationships across client teams.
