We help and support clients achieve their strategic goals by guiding them through new legislation changes and helping to navigate accounting, regulatory, technology and operating model change. Grant Thornton’s Financial Services Cyber team provides market-leading advisory, and risk and compliance services to the financial services industry, working with clients from the insurance, banking and investment management industries and beyond. Our key offerings are cyber strategy, cyber risk management, and compliance with cyber security regulation and industry standards

Joining the Agile Talent Community as an Cyber Security Director you will be responsible for supporting our clients and shaping our services as part of the next stage of our growth. You will have the freedom to work on projects that you choose (whether full or part-time) within the team and support our clients and internal teams on short to medium-term assignments.

Skills we are looking for

  • Operated at Managing Director or C Suite level as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with experience of working in the Tier 1 Banking sector . Candidates from military or government sector with experience leading Cyber security functions can be considered.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a broad understanding of operations, governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Proven leadership experience, managing and developing high-performing cybersecurity teams.
  • Background in creating and implementing long-term cybersecurity strategies.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and lead with confidence.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory requirements.
  • Flexibility to travel to client premises when required.
  • Great personal impact and ability to influence
