A look into the role – Software manager: As an experienced R&D practitioner, your role will bring you into close contact with finance professionals and engineers in a wide variety of technical fields with an up-close view of how modern technology is rapidly advancing in different industries.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive the success of end‑to‑end R&D claim processes.
  • Ability to lead complex technical interviews and support on high value projects including problem solving with numerous stakeholders.
  • Build client relationships and involvement in business development, identifying, and winning new opportunities.
  • Manage the output of junior team members including the production of timely and risk managed narratives, in addition to developing junior staff.
  • Understand the impact of upcoming legislation and their impact on technical engagements including communicating this to clients.
  • Ability to design and describe different practical assessment methodologies.
  • Build relationships and trust with clients by understanding their needs and expectations through reliable and effective communication.
  • Support in the team's ambitions to innovate how we work, through chosen areas of value add.

For this role we are looking for:

  • A background in technology whether through formal qualification or role experience.
  • Experience in the R&D tax world, managing a wide portfolio of clients.
  • Confidence in managing and growing the output of others.
  • Strong risk awareness in technical aspects with the ability to problem solve.
  • An eagerness to grow and innovate.
