Our Private Capital corporate tax team specializes in serving entrepreneurial businesses—focusing on the tax affairs of privately owned and private equity-backed companies. These dynamic, entrepreneurial, and often fast-growing businesses rely on us to help navigate complex tax compliance obligations and support various tax advisory projects as they grow, restructure, and consider succession planning. We aim to build strong, trusted adviser relationships by understanding clients’ business and personal goals and helping them achieve these in the most tax-efficient way.
As a member of our Private Capital corporate tax team, you will work with a diverse client base, from owner-managed businesses to private equity-backed firms. As an Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on various tax issues, including compliance and advisory projects
- Actively participating in client meetings and confidently addressing queries
- Building trust and respect by providing high-quality, accurate tax advice and meeting deadlines
- Leading client work and collaborating with wider tax teams for optimal skill utilization
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, understanding their career aspirations
- Offering innovative solutions to tax issues and proactively identifying cross-selling opportunities
- Leading pitches and proposals, growing the business by demonstrating our capabilities to clients and prospects
To join us as an Associate Director, you need a professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience and confidence managing a portfolio of entrepreneurial clients. Preferred skills include:
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and international concepts
- Experience reviewing work and supervising in a tax environment
- Background in professional services
- Experience managing a large tax client portfolio
- Business development skills
