You'll be part of a national team in Birmingham, gaining exposure to large assignments while supporting lenders and corporates across the UK. The role involves working on investigations, options assessments, contingency planning and formal insolvency designs to maximise returns for creditors. Responsibilities

  • Begin to understand and demonstrate the market and current developments (both work givers and competitors).
  • Provide recommendations to ongoing negotiations and sales pitches, including origination activities.
  • Contribute to internal and external presentations for both the department and the firm.
  • Build and nurture your own network both internally and externally to the firm.
  • Participate in internal and external events, training, marketing and assignment-related subjects to promote restructuring services.
  • Apply technical knowledge appropriately in the context of individual clients, and display skill and speed in resolving client problems.
  • Make quick, clear, unequivocal recommendations to managers about client issues, generate options and choices, and narrow these down appropriately.
  • Understand and demonstrate the balance between need for information and client requirements for quick decisions and recommendations.
  • Manage junior staff working on assignments, including coaching, identifying and dealing with performance issues in a timely manner, providing regular feedback, and ensuring opportunities for development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
  • High level of commercial acumen and ability to see beyond the numbers.
  • Good proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
