Lead and oversee our BRS team’s Cloud assurance service line, providing clients with subject‑matter expertise and insights on how the risks associated with their use of Cloud are being managed. Develop new Cloud‑related offerings and support our broader growth agenda.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and lead on allocated assignments and client accounts, exceeding client expectations, and manage staff development.
  • Oversee the delivery of technology internal audit / technology risk engagements and manage a portfolio of such engagements and client relationships.
  • Support and lead business‑development activities, winning new clients and upselling services to existing ones.
  • Lead planning conversations with clients and prepare draft terms of reference and audit planning documents.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise in audits, ensuring work follows Grant Thornton methodologies and evidence supports key decisions.
  • Review junior team members’ work, supporting quality and development.
  • Conduct close‑out meetings with clients, ensuring they understand identified issues and agreements, and write reports summarising observations.
  • Present reports and findings at Audit Committees and other senior‑management committees.
  • Support development of new technology audit / technology risk service lines, focusing on Cloud assurance.
  • Assist with financial management of client relationships, monitoring WIP, raising invoices, ensuring adequate margin, and preparing budgets.
  • Lead on developing annual audit plans.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification (CISA, CCAK, CCSK, CCSP, etc.) with post‑qualification experience and confidence managing a large portfolio of internal audit and Technology Risk clients.
  • Experience scoping and delivering technology internal audits and Technology Risk engagements, including reporting and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing internal audits of large companies and handling complex technical matters, especially related to the configuration, resilience, and security of Cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud governance, technical configuration, and cloud‑specific topics such as security, data protection, availability, resilience, disaster recovery, performance, cost management, third‑party management, and change management.
  • Experience auditing public (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and/or private (VMWare) cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with the Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix, cloud vendor Well‑Architected frameworks, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience performing IT audits over DevSecOps / CICD pipelines, release management, source code management, testing, security, and use of tools and automation.
  • Experience delivering technology audit / technology risk covering cyber and network security, IT resilience, IT transformations, IT strategies, data protection, supplier management, and related areas.
  • Extensive experience with audit software and Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to build extensive and active networks across geographical regions and client organisations.
  • Proactive attitude and personal goals that align with the firm’s values.
