Our Actuarial & Risk team provides market leading advice to clients in the financial services sector and further afield. We consult extensively to the general insurance, life insurance and health insurance sectors, as well as to the banking and other non-traditional areas. We specialise in developing bespoke solutions that are theoretically robust but also pragmatic to implement and commercially sound.
You will play a key role in the Actuarial & Risk team, working primarily with general insurance clients to deliver solutions and advice on complex issues. You will have a primary focus on working on capital modelling, model validation and Solvency UK services. You will also work on a wide variety of projects including Transactions and Independent Expert assignments, Reserving and Finance Transformation.

A look into the role:
- Have a primary focus on working on Capital Modelling and Model Validation assignments for Lloyd's and non-Lloyd's entities.
- Lead in the day-to-day management of projects and delivery of client work.
- Engage with all key stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met, risks are managed, and the quality of work is to the highest standard.
- Take responsibility for developing more junior members of the team, understanding their career aspirations and supporting their delivery.
- Support business development activities by building strong internal and external networks to help foster new clients and opportunities.
- Be a key member of the team taking our capital modelling and model validation services to market.
Knowing you’re right for us:
The minimum criteria you’ll need is extensive experience working in actuarial roles in the general insurance sector with deep experience in capital. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way:
- Experience in Part VII transfers
- Experience in Lloyd's Statements of Actuarial Opinion
- Experience in the Solvency II (or Solvency UK) Standard Formula
- Proven experience with business development activities, driving growth.
