Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of corporation tax compliance engagements, managing day-to-day activity across a defined portfolio.
  • Ensure work is completed accurately, on time and in line with internal procedures, supporting Managers on client relationships, technical matters and commercial performance.

Portfolio and delivery

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of a corporation tax compliance portfolio, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate workflow across engagements and monitor progress against budgets and timelines.
  • Review work prepared by junior team members for accuracy and completeness prior to Manager review.
  • Identify issues arising during delivery and elevate complex or higher-risk matters.

Client responsibilities

  • Act as a day-to-day contact for clients, responding to queries and providing updates.
  • Build effective working relationships with client contacts, with oversight from the Manager.
  • Ensure client expectations are understood and met in delivery of work.

Technical responsibilities

  • Apply strong technical knowledge to deliver high-quality compliance outputs.
  • Undertake technical research and propose solutions for review.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and share knowledge within the team.

Risk and compliance

  • Ensure all work complies with firm procedures and engagement requirements.
  • Identify potential risk issues and elevate appropriately.
  • Support the accurate completion of engagement processes from initiation through to invoicing.

People responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and on-the-job coaching to junior team members.
  • Perform initial review of work and support development through informal feedback.

Financial management

  • Support efficient delivery by managing time and working within agreed budgets.
