Role purpose

The Digital Product Delivery Manager sits in the digital stream of our wider brand, marketing and communications department. They will manage the day-to-day delivery of our development sprints, which deliver a pipeline of improvements and enhancements to our global CMS. There are over 140 international websites on our global CMS. The role will also deliver a variety of digital projects for both internal and external stakeholders. The role also focuses on delivering training on digital best practices and on new features and developments in the CMS. This is not a digital marketing role, but a technical delivery role, focused on working closely with our development team. You are required to have a deep knowledge of website best practice and enterprise level CMS systems, though coding experience is not required.

Main Responsibilities

  • Global website platform development programme:
  • Working closely with our offshore development partner to manage our sprint runs, with work released every three weeks.
  • You will attend daily standups, manage and resolve issues with work on the go, requiring quick and accurate decision making.
  • Testing new features for adherence to their acceptance criteria as part of UAT, run on a regular three week basis.
  • Build experiments into our development cycle, focusing on commercial outcomes and solving user issues.
  • Add new features according to CMS roadmap, digital marketing and AI trends to ensure a valid pipeline of CMS enhancements.
  • Manage our backlog for new requests, ensuring sprints are efficient and prioritising our member firm requests.
  • Work closely with our 24/7 support team to manage questions and requests at a decision-making level that ensure global consistency with the application of digital best practices and our brand.
  • Managing requests for domain updates as they relate to website and brand governance.
  • Working closely with our IT team, you will approve and consult on DNS change requests to ensure they do not cause website disruption, or go against our brand guidance.
  • Training and Community Management:
    • Management of our internal and external training and education areas.
    • Build inspirational layouts from set templates, ensuring these are kept up to date with new changes and improvements as we publish them.
    • Demonstrate how CMS features work with one on one sessions with member firms.
    • Deliver training on other digital themes such as accessibility training, enhancing websites for AEO and GEO and other digital best practices.
    • Build user guides for our training area and highlight gaps for knowledge sharing.
  • Digital Projects:
    • Manage a variety of digital projects, working with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Work with member firms on a consultative basis as they make improvements to their digital environments.

    Person Specification

    • Strong organisation and time management skills.
    • Driven and motivated, with the ability to take ownership of projects and lead on delivery.
    • Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, manage expectations, and clearly articulate delivery processes.
    • Be a champion of the user and have a user-centric approach.
    • Excellent written English and understanding of writing for digital.
    • An ambassador for the Grant Thornton brand and a thoughtful, culturally aware diplomat and stakeholder manager.
    • Strong relationship skills and cultural awareness, the ability to work well with people from different disciplines and cultures.
    • Ability to be agile, respond positively to change and contribute with an innovative and global mindset.

    Experience - essential

    • Proven experience in digital roles within a marketing or digital environment.
    • Strong background in digital delivery, including hands‑on work with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Kanban.
    • Extensive experience with Optimizely/Episerver and hands‑on exposure to enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager).
    • Proficiency with web and app analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, GA4, Tag Manager).
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex digital concepts to non‑technical audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality user experiences and apply CRO principles.
    • Experience designing and delivering A/B tests or working with experimentation platforms.
    • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and experience championing accessibility across teams.
    • Knowledge of SEO, usability, and accessibility best practices.
    • Direct experience collaborating with developers, managing sprints, and overseeing a technical roadmap.
    • Solid technical understanding of website builds (coding not required).
    • Experience managing multiple websites within a large or complex organisation.
    • Awareness of domain management best practices.
    • Experience managing DNS changes.
    • Experience working with offshore delivery team.
