Role purpose

The purpose of the Senior finance executive is to assist with the with the management of the accounts receivables for all GTIL member firms.

The Senior finance executive would be responsible for

  • Processing sales ledger transactions in the firm’s accounting system (Access Dimensions) to ensure accounts are recorded in the appropriate manner.
  • Assisting with the bi-monthly payment runs for member firms.
  • Providing the financial information that other functions across GTIL require to operate effectively and efficiently to ensure those functions are supported in their ability to have a laser focus on helping firms to grow their international business and on safeguarding the network.
  • Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date to enable correct decision making.

Responsibilities also include assisting day to day accounting including but not limited to, bank monitoring, queries assisting, month end reporting, annual audit, internal reporting, and monthly reconciliations.

Main Responsibilities

Day to day accounting

  • Processing sales ledger invoices on our accounting system, including receiving necessary approvals from budget holders. Ensure they are coded to the correct nominal ledger code and customer account.
  • Assisting with bi-monthly payment runs for member firms. Ensure all payments are made on the due dates and for the correct amounts.
  • Raising Sales ledger invoices to our member firms for quarterly membership fees and other monthly recharges.
  • Management of shared member firm finance inbox and forwarding queries to relevant team members for resolution.
  • Processing member firm receipts in a timely manner and ensuring correct allocation against the relevant member firm.
  • Assisting the Finance manager with any ad-hoc queries and reporting.

Monthly accounting

  • Sending out monthly statements to member firms.
  • Processing of month end accruals and prepayments, ensuring journals are accurate, done in a timely manner and up to date.
  • Supporting on the monthly bank reconciliation, ensuring that all entries have been made correctly in the system and assisting with any queries on reconciling or open items.
  • Supporting on member firm account tidy up, such as raising journals for transfers or write offs to ensure that the accounts are up to date.
  • Maintaining the withholding tax tracker and preparing the accruals for review

Other

  • Assist with preparing for the Year End Audit including any reconciliations and reporting required.
  • Review current processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiencies and improve working practices.

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-geographic, cross-organizational, and cross-cultural context.

Experience – essential

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a finance/accounts receivable role
  • Experience of working in a global financial, business to business or professional services environment and with international stakeholders.
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel.
