About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to relocate to Australia and join our Melbourne Audit Team. This position is based in Melbourne, Australia, and we will support the successful candidate through the relocation process. Our audit process is more than a compliance measure. Our robust, independent audits deliver actionable insights and add substantial value for our clients. We work with ASX-listed companies, privately owned businesses and Not for Profits and take the time to understand the organisation, including its profit drivers and key risks. You will use Grant Thornton’s proprietary global audit methodology and the latest technology to drive an efficient and effective audit process to gain a wide range of assurance exposure.
Key responsibilities
- Drive independent statutory audits of public listed and unlisted companies, proprietary companies, incorporated associations and other not-for-profit entities and government bodies’ financial reports
- Create complete and accurate audit work papers
- Identify and report on client financial risks
- Expand your analytical skills to examine clients’ financial statements and ensure they comply with statutory requirements
- Investigate difficult technical and application issues to improve client outcomes
Skills & experience
- Experience in similar Audit & Assurance environment with sound knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards
- CA/CPA full qualification or other relevant overseas qualification
- Exceptional client relationship and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and team members within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Forward-thinking approach to drive innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, decision-making, and team member experience
