Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking to lead multi-disciplinary design projects for a global company? We’re supporting an international business in hiring a Project Engineering Manager for major infrastructure projects, based in Manchester with hybrid working (3 days in office).

About the Role:
As a Project Engineering Manager, you’ll lead multi-discipline engineering design across the project lifecycle in a highly regulated industry. You’ll ensure projects are safe-by-design, sustainable, and technically sound, while meeting commercial and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multi-discipline engineering design on major infrastructure projects.
- Manage project resources, engineering strategy, and technical governance.
- Co-ordinate engineering and design interfaces with project partners & supply chain.
- Lead contractual communications, progress meetings, risk management, and cost reporting.
- Ensure compliance with project controls, safety standards, and digital delivery processes.
Skills & Experience Required for the Project Engineering Manager role:
- Degree qualified (Chartered Engineer preferred but not essential).
- Experience leading major projects in a highly regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, chemical, infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of project controls (schedule, cost, risk, change management).
- APM qualification (desirable but not essential).
- UK Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the role.
