About the Opportunity
Seeking highly experienced Charles River Development (CRD) Implementation Consultants to support complex client delivery and implementation initiatives across the financial services industry.
The ideal candidates will bring deep, practical, hands‑on experience with the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) and a strong understanding of investment management operations, workflows, and technology.
Candidates should be comfortable operating independently with senior client stakeholders, solving complex implementation challenges, and providing practical expertise throughout the full implementation lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support complex, end‑to‑end Charles River implementations, upgrades, migrations, and platform transformation initiatives.
- Apply deep practical knowledge of CRD/CRIMS to assess client requirements and design effective, scalable solutions.
- Work directly with financial services clients to understand complex business processes and translate requirements into Charles River solutions.
- Provide hands‑on functional expertise across areas such as order management, portfolio management, trading, compliance, investment operations, and IBOR.
- Lead requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, testing, data migration, integration, and implementation activities.
- Serve as a trusted subject matter expert and advisor to client stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Identify implementation risks, resolve complex functional issues, and provide practical recommendations based on prior delivery experience.
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, APIs, data flows, interfaces, and broader solution architecture.
- Support client workshops, solution design sessions, UAT, training, go‑live, and post‑implementation activities.
- Mentor or provide guidance to less experienced consultants and contribute to delivery best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degreein a business or technical discipline, such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, with significant experience in investment management, capital markets, financial services technology, or consulting.
- Substantial hands‑on experience with Charles River Development (CRD/CRIMS), including direct involvement in complex implementations, upgrades, transformations, or client delivery engagements.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering multiple CRD implementations or major platform initiatives from requirements and solution design through implementation and go‑live.
- Deep practical understanding of investment management workflows and operating models, with the ability to translate real‑world business processes into effective CRD solutions.
- Strong experience working directly with asset managers, wealth managers, banks, or other institutional financial services organizations.
- Proven ability to operate independently as a senior functional expert, SME, or implementation lead with limited day‑to‑day oversight.
- Strong business analysis, solution design, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior business, technology, and client stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Deep expertise in one or more CRD functional areas, including Order Management, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Trading, Investment Operations, or IBOR.
- Experience with complex CRD integrations, APIs, data migration, interfaces, or broader investment technology ecosystems.
- Experience supporting large‑scale transformation programs or multi‑year CRD implementation roadmaps.
- Prior experience working in a consulting, professional services, or systems integration environment.
- Strong knowledge of front‑to‑back investment management processes and the ability to connect CRD capabilities to broader operating model and technology requirements.
- London/UK‑based with experience working with UK or European financial services clients preferred.
