Our client, a well-established engineering and equipment services company supporting offshore, marine, energy and industrial sectors, is seeking a number of skilled Workshop Technicians with subsea, mechanical and hydraulic backgrounds to join their growing teams in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. These are excellent opportunities for experienced technicians looking to work with a diverse range of specialist equipment in a modern workshop environment, supporting both refurbishment and new-build projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspection, testing and maintenance of subsea, hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
  • Assembly, commissioning and modification of equipment to customer and engineering specifications.
  • Completion of maintenance records, test documentation and workshop reports.
  • Conducting equipment inspections and inventory checks.
  • Supporting equipment mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
  • Assisting with customer integration, commissioning and operational support when required.
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with quality, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Participating in training, toolbox talks and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have practical experience working with hydraulic and mechanical systems within industries such as offshore energy, marine, agricultural machining, and equipment rental or service operations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Time-served experience in a mechanical and/or hydraulic technician role.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and manufacturer documentation.
  • Experience carrying out maintenance, servicing and testing activities.
  • Competent using workshop tools and equipment.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desired:

  • Mechanical, Hydraulic, Engineering or related apprenticeship, ONC, HNC or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with subsea ROV equipment, hydraulic power units, winches, reels, lifting or specialist industrial equipment.
  • Experience supporting offshore, marine or energy sector operations.
  • Familiarity with equipment commissioning and customer support activities.
