Site Manager – Electricity Transmission Granite is supporting well-established infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of high-voltage electricity transmission projects. The role involves leading site teams and subcontractors, coordinating resources and ensuring work is completed to programme, specification, budget and client requirements. Projects are based across Scotland, so regular travel and overnight stays are essential. The Role You will take ownership of site-level health, safety, environmental and quality performance, working closely with project teams, clients and support functions to maintain progress, resolve issues and deliver strong operational outcomes without compromising safety or quality. * Lead day-to-day health, safety, environmental and quality matters for site teams and subcontractors. * Report incidents promptly and support investigations in line with company and client procedures. * Develop, review and maintain project documentation, including Construction Phase Plans, Quality Plans, Emergency Plans, RAMS and work instructions. * Provide technical and practical delivery input to tenders, design reviews and construction planning. * Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, land access, client and stakeholder teams to resolve technical and delivery issues. * Plan and manage labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and support services. * Lead and support site-based supervisory personnel, ensuring responsibilities are clearly briefed and understood. * Monitor progress against programme and report productivity, risks and constraints to the project team. * Ensure subcontractors work in accordance with RAMS, permits, drawings, specifications and client requirements. * Coordinate access, logistics, temporary works, permits, certificates and site arrangements. * Chair regular site meetings covering safety, progress, quality and delivery priorities. * Escalate unresolved operational, safety, quality, resource or stakeholder issues appropriately. * Support reporting staff with day-to-day supervision, welfare, timesheets, expenses and performance matters. * Promote a culture of safety, integrity, accountability and continuous improvement. * Maintain clear communication across site, project and support teams. * Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, management systems and legal requirements. About You * Strong knowledge of construction methods within the electricity transmission sector. * Experience delivering overhead line projects from 132kV to 400kV. * Good knowledge of current health, safety and environmental legislation, including CDM Regulations. * Proven ability to organise resources, set priorities and deliver to programme and budget. * Clear written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with clients, designers, safety advisers, site teams, quantity surveyors and estimators. * Competence using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Project and Excel. * Working knowledge of relevant electricity transmission client standards. * A suitable construction qualification or equivalent practical experience delivering overhead line projects. * Knowledge of Project Control and Site Management systems. * Temporary Works Coordinator qualification. * NEBOSH Construction and Environmental qualifications. * Relevant training in underground services avoidance, impressed voltage and waste management. * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away when required
