We are looking to hire a Senior CNC Machinist to join our machine shop in Methlick, Aberdeenshire.
Key duties:
- Interpret client specifications, enter them onto the CNC machine.
- Set up machine and monitor it as it operates to ensure delivery of quality precision made parts.
- Optimise the machining processes in terms of consistent quality and productivity.
- Supervise and coordinate activities in the machine shop.
- Operating computer-controlled machine to cut, make and manufacture precision parts.
- Load and unload material, set up and operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.
- Assisting in quality control of parts and stock control.
- Ensuring that operating policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Basic servicing and maintenance of equipment.
- General housekeeping.
Experience:
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery.
- Strong leadership experience in a similar working environment.
Qualifications / Training:
- Recognised apprenticeship or training program in a technical discipline preferred.
