Granite Recruitment is a specialist provider to the UK’s Energy sector, delivering talent solutions across Oil & Gas, Engineering, Renewables, and wider Energy markets. With Aberdeen continuing to evolve as a centre of excellence for technical, engineering, and project‑driven expertise, we are expanding our white‑collar capability to support growing client demand.
Our White‑Collar division partners with operators, EPCs, engineering consultancies, and project management organisations, providing expertise across technical, professional, and mid‑senior appointments. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter to help shape a high‑growth desk backed by a strong brand and long‑standing industry relationships.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced White‑Collar Recruitment Consultant to join our Aberdeen office and take ownership of a defined technical/professional market within the Energy sector. You’ll work across roles with consistent demand — including engineering, project controls, HSE, supply chain, planning, commercial, and office‑based operational functions. You’ll enjoy the support of an established Energy recruitment brand while having autonomy to develop your own client base, deepen relationships, and help shape the direction of a growing white‑collar offering. This role suits someone who understands the stakeholder‑driven nature of white‑collar recruitment and enjoys operating consultatively with both candidates and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Engagement & Client Relationships
- Build and manage relationships with operators, engineering firms, EPC contractors, and project management consultancies.
- Maintain regular contact with hiring managers and functional leads across engineering, commercial, operations, and corporate groups.
- Identify upcoming projects, campaigns, and technical staffing requirements.
- Provide market insight, salary benchmarks, and guidance on hiring strategies.
- Develop and maintain talent pools of technical, engineering, and professional candidates.
- Conduct consultative interviews with mid‑senior candidates across specialist disciplines.
- Manage CV preparation, interview coordination, and compliance.
- Support candidate experience from first engagement to onboarding.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle with attention to detail and quality.
- Write compelling job adverts and outreach messaging to attract high‑calibre professionals.
- Ensure accurate shortlisting, candidate presentation, and client communication.
- Build strong repeat business through consistent delivery and high service standards.
- Drive business development across new and existing accounts.
- Help shape the direction and structure of a growing white‑collar vertical.
- Contribute to a collaborative Aberdeen team environment by sharing insights and best practice.
- Take part in structured training and ongoing development.
Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

- Proven experience in white‑collar / technical / professional recruitment, ideally within Energy, Engineering, or Oil & Gas.
- Confidence in developing and managing client relationships at multiple levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with engineering, project, and corporate professionals.
- Highly organised, commercially minded, and strong in delivery.
Desirable
- Experience placing mid‑senior technical roles (engineering, projects, HSE, supply chain, commercial, etc.).
- Understanding of project lifecycles, engineering disciplines, and Energy sector dynamics.
- Evidence of consistent billing performance or building a successful desk.
