We’re currently supporting a leading engineering services business in the search for an experienced Lead Estimator to join their team in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in EPC, fabrication and construction estimating within the Energy sectors, who can take ownership of estimates from initial enquiry through to tender submission and project handover. Key Duties: Lead detailed estimates across EPC, fabrication, construction and maintenance projects Review RFQs, tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and project scopes Develop MTOs, labour-hour estimates, material costs and fabrication costs Price fabrication activities including cutting, forming, welding, fit-up, machining, assembly, blasting and painting Review and assess supplier/subcontractor quotations Identify scope gaps, risks, assumptions, exclusions and commercial opportunities Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Projects and Commercial teams Prepare tender summaries, pricing schedules and commercial submissions Maintain estimating databases, productivity rates and historical cost data Provide technical guidance and review estimates prepared by junior team members Support the transition from estimating through to project execution Key Requirements: Proven experience in a Lead/Senior Estimator position Strong EPC and fabrication estimating experience Good understanding of fabrication processes and associated costs Experience with MTOs, BOQs, labour-hour calculations and material pricing Experience reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Background within oil
