Role Description
This is a flexible hours (flexible to start, as it grows, it will progress towards full time) on-site Spa Therapist role based in The Aberdeen Altens Health Club, Cove Bay, Aberdeen.
The Spa Therapist will deliver a range of professional spa treatments, including facials, massages, manicures, and pedicures, in line with Granite Leisure standards and hygiene protocols.
Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting guests, conducting consultations, recommending appropriate treatments, carrying out treatments, upselling spa products, and maintaining a calm, welcoming environment.
The role involves preparing treatment rooms, managing bookings, supporting spa promotions, and accurately recording services and product sales.
The Spa Therapist will also collaborate with the wider leisure team to ensure consistent customer satisfaction and smooth daily spa operations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Spa Treatments and Facials, with the ability to deliver safe, effective, and relaxing services.
- Proficiency in beauty therapy, including knowledge of skincare, body treatments, and product use.
- Experience providing Pedicures and related nail care services to professional standards.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on hospitality, clear communication, and guest confidentiality.
- Relevant professional qualification or certification in beauty therapy/spa therapy.
- Attention to detail, high hygiene standards, and the ability to follow health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by spa operations.
- Previous experience in a hotel spa, leisure club, or wellness environment is an advantage.
