About us: Fasque Castle is a beautifully appointed, 5-star exclusive-use wedding and events venue located just outside the Aberdeenshire village of Fettercairn. The 19-bedroom historic property plays host to premium wedding celebrations and exclusive corporate events for up to 120 people.

Role: The Housekeeper Supervisor is responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort throughout Fasque Castle and 3 self-catering cottages on the estate. This role involves leading the housekeeping team, managing daily housekeeping operations, and ensuring the properties are immaculate and fully prepared for each event booking or guest stay in the cottages; reflecting the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping Operations: Oversee all housekeeping activities across guest bedrooms, bathrooms, public areas, staff areas and back-of-house spaces in both castle and cottages. Ensure the venue is presented to an exceptional standard prior to guest arrivals and maintained throughout each stay. Manage deep-cleaning schedules and post-event turnaround cleans. Conduct regular inspections to ensure consistent quality and attention to detail. Manage cleaning and maintenance of the 2 hot tubs at the Avenue and Gate Lodge cottages.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff. Create staff rotas in line with bookings and operational requirements. Lead by example, maintaining a hands-on approach when required. Carry out performance reviews and provide ongoing training and support.
  • Stock & Inventory Management: Manage linen, laundry, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities. Control stock levels, place orders, and manage budgets efficiently. Ensure correct care and storage of high-quality furnishings, fabrics, and finishes.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, COSHH, and hygiene standards. Maintain safe working practices and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. Report maintenance issues promptly and liaise with maintenance teams or contractors.
  • Guest Experience: Work closely with management and other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences. Respond discreetly and professionally to guest requests or issues. Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times due to the exclusive nature of the venue.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior housekeeping role, ideally within luxury hospitality or exclusive-use venues.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high personal standards.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and event-led schedules.
  • Confident managing teams, stock, and budgets.
  • Professional, discreet, and guest-focused approach.
  • Full driving licence.
