As a Senior Value Engineer for Agentic AI, you will play a strategic and highly visible role shaping how government agencies leverage AI to transform service delivery. Operating as a trusted advisor to executives and program leaders, you will lead complex discovery, architect high-impact AI solutions, and quantify multi-dimensional value across operations, policy, and constituent experience.

You will influence both solution strategy and product direction while mentoring peers and elevating value engineering practices across the organization. You'll bring deep subject matter expertise in one or more of the following verticals:

  • Service Request Management
  • Social/Public Benefit Programs
  • Business Process Optimization and Workflow Automation
  • Digital Services and Citizen Experience

Essential Functions

  • Lead executive-level discovery to assess current state service models, statutory constraints, operational inefficiencies, and transformation opportunities.
  • Architect scalable, agentic AI solutions that align with agency strategy, risk posture, and long-term modernization goals.
  • Quantify enterprise-level impact using advanced value modeling, including cost-to-serve reduction, workflow automation ROI, programmatic outcomes, and population-level impact.
  • Translate complex AI, LLM, and agentic automation capabilities into compelling, outcomes-oriented narratives for technical, operational, and executive audiences.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with AI Solution Consultants on demos, solution architecture, integration strategy, and feasibility analysis.
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert on agentic AI, public sector automation, data governance, and digital government transformation.
  • Provide deep domain and process expertise to reimagine high-volume, high-complexity services such as permitting, licensing, benefits determination, and resident engagement.
  • Facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholder groups—including legal, policy, operations, and IT—to accelerate adoption and change management.
  • Advise agencies on transformation roadmaps, risk mitigation, and sustainable operating models empowered by AI.
  • Lead sophisticated data analyses to validate outcomes, model future-state scenarios, and refine solution strategies.
  • Partner with customer success and account teams to identify expansion opportunities grounded in measurable value realization.
  • Use data storytelling to articulate strategic insights to executive sponsors and decision-makers.
  • Act as a senior conduit between customer needs and product strategy, synthesizing multi-agency patterns and emerging trends.
  • Influence product roadmaps by identifying high-value features, industry-defining use cases, and unmet public sector requirements.
  • Provide strategic oversight to ensure value proposed in pre-sales is delivered post-implementation through measurable outcomes and adoption.
  • Collaborate with Granicus Experience Partners and delivery teams on onboarding, optimization, and success planning for high-visibility customers.
  • Support development of best practices, frameworks, and methodologies for enterprise AI value delivery.

Experience/Credentials

  • 8–10+ years of experience in public sector technology, consulting, value engineering, or solution engineering.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, or multi-agency transformation initiatives involving AI, automation, or digital modernization.
  • Deep, practical expertise in agentic AI, LLMs, business process optimization, workflow automation, and intelligent service delivery.
  • Recognized subject matter expertise in one or more: permitting/licensing, social/public benefit programs, public engagement, or digital services.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise executive stakeholders, including CIOs, program directors, and policy leaders.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Mural, or similar process and workflow modeling tools.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to lead complex conversations and drive consensus.

Preferred

  • Experience with platforms like Granicus GovService, Service Cloud, Firmstep, Civica, Liquid Logic, Capita, GovTech, Total Mobile, etc.
  • Familiarity with government procurement, RFPs, and implementation cycles.
  • Background in change management, performance measurement, or civic innovation.
