Job Purpose: To provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care services to the patients of Grangewood Surgery as part of a supportive and progressive clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use knowledge and professional skill to provide a high standard of care for all registered patients.
- Conduct practice consultations, telephone consultations, telephone triage, home visits and participate in duty doctor rota.
- Provide consultations during clinics, dealing with a wide range of health needs.
- Undertake duty doctor activity and on-call tasks.
- Provide appropriate clinical care, management and referrals.
- Use EMIS Web for all patient records and administration.
- Complete relevant medical documentation, including reports, referrals and prescriptions, timely and auditable.
- Work in accordance with practice clinical procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing and administrative teams and community staff.
- Support the quality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues.
- Engage in regular practice meetings, clinical governance and educational activities.
- Participate in monthly protected CPD afternoon and utilise allocated PDP time.
- Contribute to the continued development of the PCN and multidisciplinary working.
- Support learners including F2s, registrars or medical students.
Person Specification – Experience:
- GMC registration and inclusion on GP Register NHS England Medical.
- Previous experience in General Practice.
- Interest in PCN development.
- Previous experience in EMIS Web.
- Evidence of audit or quality improvement work.
- Familiarity with QOF and enhanced services.
- Interest in a clinical leadership or specialist interest area.
- Clean Driving Licence.
