We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for a September start, to work in Key Stage 1. Grangetown is a vibrant, friendly and welcoming primary school. We wish to appoint a highly motivated and hard‑working Teaching Assistant to provide support for pupils and teachers. The post will initially be mainly based in a Year 2 Classroom.
We are seeking a suitably qualified candidate, with appropriate experience and the ability to support in class as well as with small groups of children. The successful applicant will:
- Be proficient in supporting aspects of teaching and learning, under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge, appropriate to the year group, especially in English and maths.
- Have high expectations for all children.
- Be a team player but also able to work independently when required.
- Be an effective communicator, who is willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
