Grange Primary School is seeking a passionate and motivated School Sports Coach to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about physical education and committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles among children.

As our School Sports Coach, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality PE lessons, organising and leading extra-curricular sports clubs, and supporting pupils to participate in a range of competitive sporting events. You will work closely with teaching staff to enhance the school’s sports provision and inspire all pupils to enjoy physical activity, develop confidence, and build teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons across the primary age range
  • Organise and lead lunchtime and after-school sports clubs
  • Coordinate and support participation in intra- and inter-school competitions
  • Encourage pupil participation, ensuring opportunities for all abilities
  • Support the development of the school’s PE and sports provision
  • Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Support children with SEMH and SEND needs within school

  • A relevant qualification in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field
  • Experience working with primary-aged children (school setting desirable)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A passion for sport and commitment to pupil wellbeing and inclusion
